Happy Friday! Here we are again in a flash, yet it’s been a big week, not to mention the snowfall - I hope it was of the magical not maddening kind for you and yours. There is now no denying winter and Christmas are en route. As is our very first Christmas edition of The Seedling in print! We are beyond excited to share it! 32 pages of spirit-lifting festive cheer sponsored by our friends at Brora and available from the shop and with orders any day now…
In this week’s Friday Seedlings, I share 6 loves for the week (from where to create your Christmas wreath - with me!, to the skin oil saviors I am turning to in this weather, to Anya’s magical grotto to the best cookbook for the festive season, to my take on the Christmas jumper I’ll be wearing on repeat, and more); I get excited that it’s finally tulip time - to sow at least; and we round up an ode to velvet to see us through the festivities in style…

2. Anya’s Christmas Grotto
Some magic amidst the Christmas chaos…
Get your shopping done (literarily everyone’s covered), grab a coffee at Anya’s Cafe and some serious Christmas spirit at Anya’s Grotto, all at the Anya village in Chelsea. Take your children (don’t miss Santa’s post office to send your letters straight to the North Pole) - it’s a win/win use of time at this time of year!
Anya’s Grotto
11 Pont Street, Chelsea, London
3. All about oils
I get to this point every year and it feels like my skin is going to fall off. Tight, dry, sore, red, scaly, burning. None of the usual moisturisers touch the sides. Until this morning when I dug out my favourite Chantecaille Rose de Mai face oil and slathered it all over my face and neck. I did look like a slippery eel for a bit but four hours later, I looked - and felt - positively dewy. Now is the time for oils. For face and body. These are some of my faves.
