It’s been a very calm, homey week here. Lazy mornings - the joy of not having to set an alarm is wondrous. Lots of wrapping. Lots of Christmas crafting. I’m now on my fourth bag of cranberries; the garlands are heading up the stairs next! And I’m about to start decoupaging my Eve Lom advent calendar - a mini cardboard chest of drawers which is crying out to be decorated. Jessie from Loeffler Randall gave me some beautiful wrapping paper designed by Tess Newell which I feel was made for the job!
In this week’s edition, I round up some home comforts - left over turkey toastie, yes please, in my pyjamas? I share my fave PJs too. Along with the most beautiful playing cards, and most resilient DIY nail varnish ever, and more…
Enjoy the next few days, the lead up can be exhausting but the anticipation is often the best bit. Light the candles, arrange the flowers, take care of yourself and ENJOY…I hope you have a very, very Happy Christmas.
xx
PS. If you’re looking for last minute present inspiration, you can still shop by midday today with express shipping to be there in time for Christmas, or our gift vouchers can be emailed or printed and work a treat for super last minute! I am reliably told my Create Academy course is also very well received and a lovely gift for a new year of creativity and ‘me time’ for a loved one (more on their other brilliant courses below).
6 things to love…
1. This Nail Varnish
If like me, you haven’t found time to get your nails done this Christmas, don’t panic. Let me introduce you to Essie’s gel-like nail polish. It’s game-changing. I met it in the summer in a deep Chanel-y red and was instantly hooked and now i’ve just found it in this pretty soft pink called ‘Matter of Fiction’. It’s basically a Shellac/gel style polish that lasts about 15 days but without needing the heat lamp or the acetone to take it off. It’s brilliant and really really lasts, even after making 400 wreaths.
2. These Pyjamas
Why is it so hard to come up with ideas about what you would like for Christmas? I can dream up endless lists for everyone around me but the minute I’m asked what I want, my mind goes blank. However, the one thing I always come back to - for myself and to gift - is pyjamas.
