What day is it? Oh yes, Happy Friday!
If you’re feeling pre-Christmas overwhelm you are not alone. It’s the busiest time of year for me with workshops and events and our Christmas collection in store… I long for the lead-up to be done and just be fully immersed in Christmas holidays at home with my boys.
This week I hosted a wreath workshop with Create Academy at the beautiful Thyme, hosted an intimate talk and pop-up with some wonderful female makers (ceramics and cashmere, what more could we want?!), had meetings about a new book (top secret but so exciting!), and am ready to put my feet up… Ok, who am I kidding?! We’re in this together and we can get through December madness!
In today’s Friday Seedlings edition, I share 6 loves for the week (from telly I’m dying to watch to magical ceramic mushrooms); I wax lyrical about the best cut flower of the season & an article from our print edition reminding us it’s ok to feel the wonder as well as the overwhelm at Christmas time…
PS If you’re wanting some quick and easy inspiration for making your own wreath (or flowery foliage for your mantels, staircase, tables), you can download and watch my Christmas decorating tutorials, and buy our wreath kits to create your own from the comfort of home…

6 things this week…
1. It’s Hellebore Season!
When it’s all a bit bare out there in the garden and the garden centres are turned into Christmas tree outlets, oh the joy of finding a sea of hellebores this week! I’ve potted them up here with some white hyacinths and a white amaryllis with the bulbs topped off with moss, and added a little bit of drainage with some gravel at the bottom of the pot…
2. Our New Block Print Photo Frames!
Just in time for Christmas… The most beautiful photo frames using our hand-printed signature posie pattern reimagined onto photo frames in red or green (or both!). The most perfect of presents - especially for those travelling to festivities as super light to pack or to pop in the post for last minute gifting… I’m wrapping them up for everyone but also having so much fun dotting them around the house for a little pre-Christmas update!
3. Workshop Wrap Up
What a week! Workshopping in London with Jigsaw, at Thyme in the Cotwolds with Create Academy and a special private group hosted with Genevieve Sweeney (the most beautiful cashmere) and Amanda Coldridge (the most magical ceramics); I felt lucky to meet so many wonderful people with a shared love of flowers. A this busy time, it’s important to stop and connect with nature. It’s not just about getting into the Christmas spirit or decking your halls, it’s about pausing to feel humbled by nature and making time for connection…
