Drying alliums to create beauty inside

About now, some of the alliums in my garden begin to look a little a little sad and past their best so I bite the bullet, cut them down, and bring them inside to dry. I love to fill a big jug (our Italian speckles are perfect) with dried ammi, dried wisps of grass, and last year’s dried hydrangeas and create mad, sculptural explosions!”

Quick Tip; If you are going to dry flowers, make sure you store them somewhere dry and not somewhere that is exposed to a damp atmosphere; they will go soggy and black and won't dry!
